Christian joined Vista Equity Partners in 2001 and is a Principal. Prior to joining Vista, Christian worked in the High Technology Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he advised clients in a variety of verticals including software, IT services, telecom equipment, direct broadcast satellite, Internet, and media, among others. These projects included buyside and sellside transactions, public market financings and other strategic advisory initiatives. Christian also worked at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell focused on high technology M&A investment banking and at Generation Partners, a venture capital firm focused on technology investments.
Alan originally joined Vista Equity Partners in 2001. He rejoined Vista in 2008. Prior to rejoining Vista, Alan was a General Partner at Accretive LLC, an innovative venture capital firm focused on high growth technology-enabled service companies. Before his time with Accretive, he spent five years at Vista Equity Partners, and was involved in the sale of SRC Software to Business Objects. Alan also previously co-founded and served as General Manager of Fandango and worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Mergers & Acquisitions and High Technology Groups. Alan holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Stanford University.
Managing Principal at Vista Equity Partners, Robert was previously at Goldman, Sachs & Co. focused on mergers and acquisitions in the technology industry. While at Goldman Sachs, he was Co-Head of the Enterprise Systems and Storage Business within the Technology Group. Robert received an MBA from Columbia University Business School, where he graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors. In addition, he holds a BS in chemical engineering from Cornell University.
Rob Rogers joined Vista Equity Partners in 2002. Prior to joining Vista, Rob served as Director of Finance and Business Development for Integra LifeSciences. Before his time with Integra, Rob worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he advised clients on buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory assignments in industries such as consumer products, retail, packaging, and timber. Rob holds an A.B. from Priceton Univeristy and and M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Jim is a Principal at Vista Equity Partners. Prior to joining Vista in 2008, Jim spent 25 years at William Blair & Company, including 14 years heading up the technology investment banking practice and 11 years as a technology equity research analyst. While at Blair, Jim completed over 50 equity offerings exceeding $6 billion in total value, and over 35 M&A transactions exceeding $18 billion in total value. Jim is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Jim received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from Williams College with honors.
Peter Arrowsmith is a General Partner at JMI Equity. He has served on the boards of numerous JMI portfolio companies and has over 15 years of experience investing in software businesses. Prior to joining JMI, Peter was an Associate at AEA Investors and a Business Analyst at McKinsey and Company. He received an AB in History and Literature from Harvard University.
Brian Hersman is a Vice President at JMI Equity. Prior to joining JMI, Brian was a Senior Associate at Vista Equity Partners where he executed enterprise software transactions and assisted portfolio companies with growth initiatives, strategy, acquisitions and operational improvement. He also worked with software and services companies as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Brian received a BA in Economics and Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Science in Management of Information Systems from the Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
